Department of Palestinian Affairs

Brief about Jordan and Palestinian Refugees The Jordanian goverment has been, under the guidance of the the Hashemite leader, greatly concerned with the Palestinian question, and has translated this concern into action at all levels. The alternate Jordanian goverments have done their utmost to develop the official institutions in order to encounter the challenges stemming from the Israeli occupation of the Palestinian Territories.

Hence, the Department of Palestinain Affairs was established as a governmental body to represent the political Jordanian position on the international level, to claim back the right of return for it's citizens. Moreover, it also endeavours to create a proper environment for the refugee-citizens still living in the refugee camps of Jordan. DPA seeks to identify the needs and act upon them within the physical, social infrastructure projects and also within the legal status which endowed the palestinian refugee with. Aware of the demands of the new millenium, DPA is trying to work on the needed development concepts to ensure the Palestinian refugees their essential rights of humanity.
